Now that you know what version control and Git is, let’s start working with it by installing the GitHub Desktop app. There are many ways to interact with GitHub from using the command line to dedicated GitHub apps. When you’re starting with Git, it’s best to stick with one so you can get used to it. In this course, we’ll be using the GitHub desktop app. In order to use Git effectively, you don’t have to use the command line.
